Access
Britain's first new town, Stevenage, is Hertfordshire's most accessible Town Centre and is convenient for all forms of transport. Stevenage has excellent road links to London and the North, being situated just off the A1M motorway, Junction 7 and is one of the few Town Centres in Britain designed for ease of access by the car with dual carriageway roads on all sides of the Town Centre and ample, clean, well-lit and safe car parking.
The bus station is located right in the heart of the Town Centre and the train station is linked by a pedestrian walkway, both offering easy access to the shops, businesses and leisure facilities of Stevenage. Situated on the East Coast mainline, Stevenage has excellent access to Kings Cross and the North.
The whole of Stevenage is criss-crossed by good quality cycleways, linking all the residential areas to the Town Centre and avoiding the need to cycle on the main roads. Motorcyclists and moped riders can also use the excellent cycle paths.
Stevenage is well situated to give easy access to London Luton, London Stansted and London Heathrow Airports.
Car Parking
Stevenage Town Centre has ample parking for short stay, long stay and disabled visitors. All car parks are easily accessible via the dual carriageways that surround the pedestriansed centre and are reasonably and competitively priced.
