The Great Christmas Giveaway!
Christmas came early this week for dozens of Stevenage
shoppers. The Stevenage Town Centre Management Company’s “Great
Christmas Giveaway” closed on Monday and 20 lucky people scooped
some fabulous prizes. Almost 1,800 entries were received during
the 4-week campaign and the first name out of the box was Cheryl
Howes from Stevenage , who won a Nintendo DS Lite. Other winners
were Barbara Smith, who collected a Boots Sanctuary Spa Gift Set
and Janet Heaps, who won a luxury gift hamper from Marks &
Spencer, both of Stevenage, and Christine Burch from Lower
Stondon, who picked up some Liberty Orchard Luxury confection.
Other prizes included fragrance sets from l’Aura Perfumery,
Christmas Hampers and festive spiced wine.
Stevenage town centre’s Jingle Bills campaign with Chiltern paid
out over £500 to Stevenage shoppers and Hertbeat radio listener
Bailey Massey, age 13 from Hertford Heath, scooped an 8GB iPod
Nano in electric blue when she correctly guessed the Jingle
Brothers hip hop style carol singing!
With just one week to go until Christmas, there is plenty of
opportunity to get those last minute Christmas gifts in
Stevenage town centre. Most town centre shops and the Westgate
Centre will be open until 8pm on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd
December, and until 5.30pm on Christmas Eve and Father Christmas
and his Formula 1 Racing Sleigh will be in the ASDA car park on
Sunday 21 December.
The Stevenage Town Centre Management team would like to take
this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a
Happy New Year.
