A successful Town Centre is vital to every business operating in Stevenage and to every person who comes here to shop, work and socialise. Residents and visitors' views of Stevenage are inextricably bound to their view of the Town Centre and, as such, the Town Centre is the “image” of Stevenage that visitors take away. Stevenage residents and workers need and deserve a Town Centre of which they can be proud. Staff recruitment, retention, particularly at senior management level, is easier in a town where residents are proud to live.

The Stevenage Town Centre Management Company's chosen charity for 2008 is Building Blocks. Building Blocks is part of the Enhance Herts appeal, and raises money for babies, children and teens who are in need of treatment in hospitals such as Lister, the QEII, Hertford County and the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.
We have sponsored money boxes for distribution to school children in Stevenage and the money collected in these boxes will be divided equally between the school and the charity, so children are investing in their future by supporting both their school and the hospital that would care for them should they need treatment. When the money boxes are full, they can be handed in to either the school or to one of the following shops in Stevenage Town Centre.
